Leisureville is a large active 55+ community in northern Pompano Beach. It offers ease of access to transportation, shopping, health care, and is under 5 miles to the beach. The community prides itself on its dozens of special interest clubs, events, and excursions via its courtesy bus service. Constructed from 1967 to 1973, it is made up of a combination of detached single family homes and multi-unit condo buildings, with over 800 residences in total. The single family homes typically feature 1 or 2-car garages or carports, screened patios, and in-home laundry appliances. Condo buildings are 2 stories with no elevators, utilize shared laundry, and most feature beautiful views of Leisureville’s 9-hole golf course. The community is managed by Leisureville Community Association, Inc., which provides maintenance, parking, and an impressive series of amenities. Aside from the golf course, there are 2 clubhouses, 2 pools, fitness center, bocce, shuffleboard, and more. Pet restrictions vary by section, ranging from no pets to 2 small pets. Leasing is permitted at the point of purchase, but tenants must receive board approval. Only passenger vehicles are permitted – motorcycles are allowed if covered or stored out of sight.
