Isle of Paradise
Isle of Paradise is a rare waterfront community built on a man-made island surrounded by million dollar homes. It offers easy access to the Intercoastal Waterway and ocean with no fixed bridges, and all types of South Florida excitement are minutes away. Constructed in the mid-60s, it is made up of six 4-story buildings. One of these buildings, known as "New Orleans", is designed for 55+ residents. The building contains 36 units across 4 stories, utilizing outdoor walkways, elevators, shared laundry facilities, and extra storage space. Units typically feature open kitchens, dining areas, and 1 or 2 br/ba. The community is managed by Isle of Paradise F, Inc., which is a cash-only co-op. They provide a series of amenities including a pool, shuffleboard, and picnic area, which is shared with the other buildings in the community. Across, the bridge to the mainland is Golden Isles Park, which is outfitted with basketball courts and multiple tennis courts. The community does not allow pets, and leasing is not permitted during the first 5 years of ownership. Residents are able to walk to the beach, or enjoy thrilling shopping, gambling, and racing at Gulfstream Park. I-95 and the Tri-Rail train system is under 5 miles away, and Fort Lauderdale International Airport is under 10 miles.
