Western Mainlands of Tamarac
Mainlands of Tamarac is a sprawling series of communities all across Tamarac. Constructed throughout the 60s and 70s, it is made up of thousands of ranch-style single family homes, managed by nearly 20 HOAs. In total, 11 of the communities are designated for 55+ residents. They are a great options for buyers seeking low dues and fewer amenities. Residents have easy access to outdoor recreation at hubs such as the Tamarac Sports Complex, and Fern Forest Nature Center. They also enjoy premier outlet shopping at Sawgrass Mills. Homes range from 837 to 2,471sqft, and typically contain 2 or 3 bedrooms, and 1 to 3 bathrooms. Some, but not all homes feature some sort of screened outdoor seating, and a 1-car garage. Each association has its own unique set of rules, regulations, and fees. Most of the communities are pet-friendly in some form, but please note that they do not allow fences to be constructed. In order to break all of this HOA information down into something easier to read, the HOAs have been divided into 4 zones, based on their location in the city of Tamarac. This page covers the communities on the western side of the city. There are three in total: Fairhaven, Greenhaven, and Sunset Isle.
