Leisure by the Sea North is a small cluster of 55+ condo buildings in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, offering a relatively affordable beach lifestyle. Constructed in the mid-60s, it is made up of four 2 or 3-story buildings, all surrounding the sparkling community pool. The buildings utilize both outdoor walkways and elevators. They also contain shared laundry facilities and extra storage space. There are 92 units in total, ranging from 440 to 1,140 square feet. Homes feature 1 or 2 bedrooms, 1 or 2 bathrooms, and most have been updated with open floor plans and high-impact glass. The community is managed by “Leisure by the Sea North Association, A Condominium”, which provides maintenance, exterior building insurance, and one assigned parking space per unit. The association does not allow pets or non-passenger vehicles, and requires 2 years of ownership before leasing. Leisure by the Sea North is on the southern border of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, a small oceanfront village with a charming strip of restaurants and shopping. Once across the nearby bridge to the mainland, residents have easy access to an endless supply of South Florida excitement. Options include the upscale Las Olas Boulevard, and the quirky Wilton Drive. I-95 is 5 miles to the west, and Fort Lauderdale International Airport is 10 miles to the southwest.
