Lakes of Carriage Hills
Lakes of Carriage Hills is a 55+ community in the northeast corner of Tamarac. Constructed throughout the 80s, it is made up of a series of 3 and 4-story condo buildings, with 520 units in total. The buildings feature outdoor catwalks, elevators, and are surrounded by a series of ponds and lakes. Units range from 1,000 to 1,350sqft, and feature 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, in-unit laundry/storage, and screened balconies. The community is managed by Lakes of Carriage Hills Condominium Association, Inc., which provides cable, maintenance, building insurance, and a range of amenities. Residents enjoy utilizing the active clubhouse, fitness room, pool, sauna, spa, and sports courts. The association does not allow pets and non-passenger vehicles (pick-up trucks and motorcycles included). The community sits on the border of Tamarac and North Lauderdale, so it is closer to the coast and South Florida excitement than the rest of the city. Nearby to the north, residents hike at Fern Forest Nature Center. To the west is outlet shopping at Sawgrass Mills Mall. I-95 and the Florida Turnpike are under 5 miles away, and Fort Lauderdale International Airport is 16 miles away.
