About
College Park
Located in Lake Worth beach FL, College Park is one of the founding neighborhoods of southeast FL. In 2001, the majority of the community was designated a U.S. historic district. The origins began south of the C-51 Canal in the early 1920s. From there, development continued south of Spillway Park, today, a staple of the neighborhood. The park has a charming fishing wood pier, a picnic area, a pet station, a walking trail, parking, and restroom facilities. This unique neighborhood obtained the title "College Park" because the streets are named after distinguished colleges or universities, rather than letters and numbers. There are around 512 homes within the neighborhood, mainly single-family, each varying in stylistic diversity, with 1-7 bedrooms, 1-7 baths, and total square footage ranging from 904 to 9,191. The neighborhood association strives to preserve the archaeological and cultural importance of the homes, streets, sidewalks, and landscapes. One of the first official neighborhood associations in Lake Worth, residents have an opportunity to get involved in monthly meetings and social events like beer garden tours, trivia nights, and block parties. There's a great vibe amongst the 1,200 plus residents. Many grew up there and still chose to live there because of the warm, friendly, safe neighborly feel and intricate, interesting architect and history.
